Welcome to the Town of Liberty Supervisor's page
My name is Charlie Barbuti and I have been the Supervisor of the Town
of Liberty since January 1, 2012.
I was born and raised in Liberty, went away to college at SUNY Albany
and returned to town in 1973 and have been here ever since. I raised my
family here and operated our family furniture store located in the
downtown section of the Village of Liberty.
This was a wonderful place to grow up and it is a wonderful place to
raise a family. I think that every child should be able to grow up in a
small town. I know my father told us many times how lucky we were to
grow up in the country. My childhood memories of little league baseball
and sledding down Walnut Mountain are warmly remembered as well
as hiking and fishing at Hanofee Park.
When you visit, stop by and say hello. I will do my best to convince you to
come and open your business here, enjoy our beautiful town as a
visitor or make this your home. We may not have everything here, but
we have everything you really need; a diverse, welcoming community
surrounded by exquisite natural beauty.
